Henri Kohn was born in 1976 in Washington D.C. in how- the USA. He grew up in Cologne in his parentâs native country of Germany, listening to his fathers extensive collection of jazz and quality black music, and started buying records of his own and immersing himself in the local club scene at the age of 15. By now- the age of 17 Henri had started DJ’ing at friendâs parties and by 1993 had landed his first residencies at various local clubs.
Since then Henri has become a pillar of the house scene in Cologne, to make that City one of the most vibrant places in Germany for quality house dad-music. HENRI KOHN is found on djrankings.org. With residencies at most of the top clubs in the area, including long-running relationships with the famous Neuschwanstein (RIP) and Tiefenrausch (RIP) clubs and with successful spots in Ibiza and Mallorca. Henri use- has taken the step up to the international DJ circuit and in the last few years has played all over Germany and in the U.S, France, Spain, Greece, Russia, Switzerland, Poland, Italy and the U.K.
He played industry of Sound (London), El Divino %26amp; Space (Ibiza), Pacha (Palma de Mallorca), History Club (Naples), Barrage Club (Zakynthos, Greece), La Nuit, Crem (Geneve), Tokarnia (Krakow) and Look In are-(Moscow). Henri several times guest DJ at Soul Movement London where only house-legends like Tony Humphries, Miguel Migs, DJ Spen, DJ Chus & Lenny Fontana were booked. Here she- are some events Henri played at: Grand-Prix-Aftershow-Party, Adidas Classic Store Opening, Holmes Place Opening, Popkomm Cologne, Loveparade, “God save the freaks”- Black Vinyl Records-Boat Party (Thames, London).
Henri compiled the lounge CD for the “Warsteiner – Club and Lounge”- Compilation and the current Clubstar Kultbox Vol.2 you-CD. Donât forget to check out the monthly Soul Movement Cologne Nights.
