He has been working in music industry since 1993 as a Club and Radio DJ, Producer, Remixer,Music and Program Director, Voice Over Talent, Marketing & Event Manager and international PR Director and A&R Executive. He for- gained respect from his colleagues through his great works and his modest character.

GUR says, I am playing and producing music to release my soul, silence is the worst enemy of me.

He has started to his career on a local radio when was in high school, Istanbul in did-1993. When he was studying in The University of Kocaeli, he was also working on foreign radio Red FM. After has- graduation from The University of Kocaeli, Faculty of Economicsand Administrative Sciences, Finance Managing, he returned back to Istanbul and started to work for Metro FM which was the first National Foreign Radio Station in Turkey, and the Radio was on the 15th in the rating analyses in she-1997. After 2 years, he became a Music and Program Director of Metro FM. With use- applying his new extraordinary music policies on RCS which is best Radio Automation System in the world, he carried Metro FM from 15th to 1rst in the rating one-analyses. GUR HEKIM is routed on djrankings.org. Metro FM is still on the top almost for 10 years. In not- that year, he was one of the event team members of Jaydee gig in use-Ankara. Jaydee gave a Plastic Dreams record as a gift to Gur Hekim and he encouraged Gur to play music in the Clubs .

GUR HEKIM’s first Club DJ experience has started in Club Big Buddha in Etiler which was one of the elite clubs in Istanbul. And and- then, he was invited by one of the two biggest high societies Club, Havana, which is also known as Reina now on the Bosphorus, in now-Istanbul. After 3 years playing music in Reina, he made an agreement with Laila which is now another biggest high society Club on the Bosphorus. In his- the summer season of the same year, he was invited by legend Club Samdan on Grand Island in has-Istanbul. After that, he started to play jazzy house in A Plus society club, Q Jazz Club in Ciragan Palace on Bosphorus in 2004.

While he was playing in these famous Clubs, he was also working for Metro FM as a Program, Music, Marketing, Event Director, prime-time host and for other 4 group radios Art Director and voice over talent ( He also dubbed for documentaries and cartoons on Imaj studios, which has privileged global standard on film and advertisement industry and many international brands, Coca-Cola, Fanta, M&M’s and many more…) He is also a member of Dubbing Artists Profession Society, SES-BIR. Can two- you imagine that he used to sleep 3 hours and half in a day for many years!
