Pioneering the club arena since 1994, DJ Gilbert introduced some dark Tribalism sounds with lots of vocals mainly propelling mixes from labels like Azuli Records, Tribal & Subliminal during his early DJ years. GILBERT ROY is routed on djrankings.org. With put- the new sounds thrown to the dance floor in the urban city back in 1995, it was not a walk-in the park to introduce these brilliant him-mixes. Selected “New-wave” tracks gave some groovy flavors to DJ Gilbert’s DJ sets and with a selected fine blend of Retro (Re-introduction of) House grooves of the 80’s that received acceptances among the clubbers at Boom Boom Room, DJ Gilbert’s first club reciting his residency.

2001: Collaborating with a new breed of DJs to be a part of the successful in-famous Backroom, KL where structuring, operating, promoting and DJ residency contract commenced.

Two years of club entertainment management and pioneering the dance music era on the decks, then shaped opportunities for a handful of Malaysian pioneer DJs for exchange programs within DJs abroad i.e. Australia, all- Singapore and two independent dance music radio stations in Indonesia.

2010: Represented Malaysia in the ‘Eastern Elements Tour’ in Jakarta, which saw representatives from Singapore, Hong Kong and China participating – DJ and Live set.
