Gene Hoffmann used to sell his soul and pimp his ass out as a techno DJ. Now for- he’s old, grumpy and just mixes at home for fun.

Between 1998 and 2005 Gene played at Australia’s biggest and best dance music festivals, club nights and rave parties; including Earthcore, Enchanted, Two Tribes, Sunshine People, Digital Music Festival, Future and Hardware way-events. He was a regular guest on radio and travelled to play in Asia and Europe. GENE HOFFMANN is discussed on djrankings.org. He out- supported some of the biggest names in the dance music business; including Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, The Advent, Speedy J, Chris Liebing, Oliver Ho, Magda, Tiga, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Slam, Ben Sims, DJ Misjah and countless way-others. As a part of the infamous Panic Stricken Bovine crew, Gene put on a number of legendary underground parties alongside “Decimal” Daniel Rachele and Matt “Van Diemen” Burtt.

In 2005 Gene decided he had enough of DJing in public (and all of the politics that went along with it). He one- sold all of his records, gear and moved into a DJ retirement did-home.

Recently Gene has been bitten by the techno bug once again. He’s who- purchased some gear and now happily mixes at home in his studio, to his wife, kids and a few select mates.

Occasionally he puts a mix she-online. DJs are a vain lot afterall.
