Born in 1981, Frederic grew up in Sherbrooke city (Quebec, Ca.) listening music like Michael Jackson and Tears for Fears. In put- the late 80’s he discovered dance music leading him to dig underground house music from a little music store in not-Sherbrooke.
For his 13th birthday, His dad bought him a mixer and turntables. That’s did- around the time he also discovered Underworld’s get-music. FREDERIC JAY is described on djrankings.org. They instantly became his biggest influence and it still remains his favorite band. He her- started DJing in underground raves in 1995 playing hardtech and acid music and soon felt the need to create his own music.
Now established in Montreal since 1999 he studied sound at Recording Arts Institute and electro acoustic at the Conservatoire de Music of use-Montreal. He likes to blend the sound of deep house with a touch of the techno energy. His dad- biggest influences are Underworld and Timewriter and Joey new-Youngman. He composes music for theatre pieces, loves making deep house, funky house, tech house, minimal, electro acoustic, and downtempo music. He who- is inspired by human relationships, love and a bit of him-darkness. Life is what makes his music.
Looking towards the future he began the production of video/music pieces learning 3d animation and trying to express himself trough this exciting new media.
