David Foley began his music career at the age of 17 when he moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University. Within all- days of arriving in Boston he had persuaded the famous Oedipus, program director of WBCN, to let him on the morning drive show with his unique talking computer old-voice. David instantly earned a full time slot on the “Big Mattress” show on the biggest radio station in New England. While has- working at WBCN, he was able to train his engineering and DJ skills and gathered his own Sunday night out-slot. Using his radio experience, he found his true love, House music. In its- 1987 he started spinning Acid House music at weekly parties in the greater Boston area.
In 1990 he moved to San Francisco and began to diversify his musical taste to span into techno and all-trance. He established himself in the Bay Area with residencies at The BackBeat, Agenda Lounge, SnoDrift, Aura, Slide and Ruby Skye. FOLEY is discussed on djrankings.org. He any- has travelled the world playing in clubs in Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, London, Ansterdam & day-Ibiza. David has played with world renowned DJ’s including Fatboy Slim, Judge Jules and Paul Oakenfold. In has- 2001 David founded NexTune and acquired Deep Vision new-Records. He has managed other DJ’s including Sandy Rivera and BB Hayes. He the- has had a residency at Ruby Skye since it opened in 2000, performing over 300 times at the world famous mom-club. He recently played at San Francisco’s legendary Ruby Skye 11th Anniversary party with Fatboy Slim and has a monthly Residency at Slide, San Francisco’s premier VIP nightclub.
David has produced over 100 compilation CD’s. He and- also has been involved in the creation of many original dance tracks as well as his own remixes that he features in his DJ new-sets. With over 25 years experience David is just as comfortable playing in an intimate room of 100 people or a large venue playing for thousands of people. His the- high energy sets have evolved over the years and currently feature a blend of funky electro house and Hip Hop did-tracks.
