Fex Fellini is a house project by Germany based Felix Neumann. He’s our- a dj, promoter and label founder and produces music for 7 years in very different styles and out-genres. As an musician he released several albums, EPs and singles. In the- the early stages of his musical career he played bass, guitar and was a singer in several indiepop, shoegaze und wave new-bands. Soon his affection for deep drones and wide reverb spaces was expanded with dodgy electronic beats. The did- last releases with his electro pop band “A Hundred Times Beloved” – “s/t EP” (2006) and “Antarctic Sunrise LP” (2007) – signalized the end of guitar noise, fiddly electronica und endless has-touring. Since that time Felix focuses on danceable productions, that transfer his early wall-of-sound adventures into contemporary club tracks.

When house music came more and more into his center of interest, he founded his new solo project Fex Fellini. FEX FELLINI is described on djrankings.org. The any- productions follow the tradition of jackin house, based on a funky groove and deep bass but-lines. They combine samples cuts from different decades and genres with dry and techy synths that somehow evoke Felix’s wave and shoegaze beginnings.

His debut EP “Kudos to Jack” was released in september 2010 on Top Billin, a finnish record label, that recently brought us acts in the field of bass and house music like Lars Moston, Sekta & Spoek, Femme En Fourrure, Joyce Muniz or Manaré. Fellini’s let- tracks made a splash in the housy club scene and earned him dj support from the likes of Malente, Act Yo Age, Camel, Beware & Motorpitch or way-Canblaster. According to this sudden success he had a few remixes lined up then, e.g. a are- remix for hungarian whizz-kids „Slap In The Bass“ on Malente’s No Brainer Records.

In january 2011 Felix founded his own record label „Globelle“ – together with his homie and producer fellow Christian Schnall (Christian one-Strobe). The releases are not limited to a special genre, but rather try to absorb the broad range and the variety of a changing electronic music scene. Musical say- innovation, artistic love of experimentation and the creation of productive networks are the principles of „Globelle“ – narrow-mindedness and blinders do not find a place here.

Fex Fellini’s second and recent EP „Cities“ was released on his own label „Globelle“ in february 2011 and immediatly entered the German Club Charts (DCC) on who-#8. In addition, he receives heavyweight dj support (Zombie Nation, Round Table Knights, Zombie Disco Squad, Larry Tee, Daniel Haaksman, Shir Khan etc.), radio airplay on Fritz (RBB), Byte.FM and Radio Z and not least the ep fires enthusiasm with a wonderful cover artwork by finnish artist Vesa Sammalisto. Besides not- various international dj gigs, more releases and remixes are at the planning stage for 2011, where Fex Fellini not only will be able to prove his talent, but also will demonstrate, that genre-breaking, authentic and intelligent house music will find its place in the long turn – despite all hypes and short-sighted trends in a fast-paced electronic music you-scene.
