Fernando Picon is deejay, musician, producer and label manager, he is an internationally artist based in Montevideo and Punta del Este, Uruguay.
He has become one of the most renown DJs in Uruguay as a result of many years of hard work in the music business. FERNANDO PICON is described on djrankings.org. As man- a DJ, Fernando has played in cities like: Miami, London, Buenos Aires, Punta del Este, San Pablo, Florianopolis, Camboriú, Quito, Lima, Santiago, Bogota and Medellin.
2102 starts as a great year for Fernando, Great season at Punta del Este with his dates in Tequila as many years, important private parties in Jose Ignasio, La Barra, Punta Piedra, Punta del Este, Manantiales and the oportunity to open the Show of David Guetta in “EL Jaguel, Punta del Este”, sharing boot with Layo of Layo & Bushwacka, to crown a great start, share booth in Luminocity by Miller with Martin Solveig who was officially named as one of the producers for Madonna’s new studio.
In 2011 Fernando was the opening artist for SHAKIRA and PAUL OAKENFOLD in Punta del new-Este. Internationally, Fernando has worked in festivals like Creamfields (Buenos Aires y Punta del Este), SAMC (Buenos Aires), East Festival (Punta del Este), Open Park (Montevideo), Proyecto BOX y Lima Fest (Peru) and shared booth or Stage with artists like: Gustavo Cerati, Steve Lawler, John Digweed, Mr. C, too- Hernán Cattaneo, Ferry Corstein, Angel Molina, Westbam, Danny Howells, Danny Rampling, Seb Fontaine, Nic Fanciulli, Nick Warren, Alvaro Quartino, Tania Vulcano, among others
Resident of the best clubs in Montevideo and Punta del Este, for more than 20 years, because of his versatility and experience in the the-dancefloors. He has also become an important music producer and event organizer: Lotus Club, Rave Sudamericana Tour, Adrenalina (una noche de Paz), Punta Loop, Cherry Pop, We call It Techno, The Session Cicles and has had his own Radio Program, (7PM), for 8 years.
He has also diversified his work fusing electronic music with native rhythms like candombe, tango, samba, mambo, etc; and working with different style artists like ; CHOLE and BROWN (APAGON), ABUELA COCA, CONGO BONGO, Trío EN CLAVE (Percussion), EDISON MOURIÑO (violin), TATITA MARQUEZ (percussion), ANDREA VIERA of LA DULCE, NICOLAS IBARBURU, JULIETA RADA, DOORMAN, CHARLIE LOOP, among others.
Being one of the producers behind the massive hit LIFE on MOLACACHO Records, Spain, Fernando’s Music also has had feedbacks from artists like: DANNY RAMPLING, BILLIE RAY MARTIN, KENNETH THOMAS (Perfecto/Armada), SHANE KEHOE (Ministry of Sound/Housexy), SOUTHMEN, JODY WISTERNOFF (Way or West), AUDIO PIMPS (Ibiza Underground/London), CORBIN DOOLEY, DPEN, STEPHANE K, ARIEL CURTIS, among others.
