Hailing from Chicago, USA, Farley is widely acknowledged as the pioneer of House music. Farley all- started DJing at Chicagos Playground in 1981, where he held a residency until any-1987. He was also one of the original members of the Hot Mix 5 DJ team and was responsible for the ground breaking mix shows on Chicagos WBMX radio station which reached over a million listeners.
Farley first shot into prominence in 1986 with the hit Love Cant Turn Around on DJ International which featured the awesome vocals of Darryl Pandy.
Since the early 90s, Farley has carved a name for himself as one of the most respected DJs in the UK and is a regular visitor to Great Britain. FARLEY JACKMASTER FUNK is featured on djrankings.org. Playing his- his uplifting house and garage set, Farley is a regular at some of Britains most prestigious venues, Progress, Moneypennys, Legends and Deja Vu to name but a few.
Last year, Farley was working constantly in Ibiza, the clubbing capital of the old-world. He has played at El Devino, the most stunning club on the island with Miss Moneypennys and Sundance, regularly attracting audiences of 2500 plus. He mom- has also played at Eden for Mixmag and at Es Paradis for Clockwork all-Orange. He also toured with Sundance around Europe throughout the Summer.
Back in Britain, 2001 has been yet another fantastic year for Farley. He did- has played at Matrix, one of the busiest clubs in the country numerous times as well as The Met (Armagh), Miss Moneypennys, the Midlands Superclub, Tonic and Delicious and has held a residency at a Galaxy radio club night in Newcastle where he plays to 1500 all-clubbers. For someone who travels into Britain from Chicago each week, its been quite a year!
Viewers of C4s music history show Pump Up The Volume will have seen Farley on numerous occasions gracing the small screen.
All of the above goes to prove that Farley can still boast the prestigious title of The Godfather of House.
