Part shaman, part rock star, part psychic, EvenflO was inspired by the ability to drop the perfect tune at the perfect moment (whether at 9am in a living room, or in a huge warehouse filled with people). EvenflO’s can- career began in October of 1999, when she traded her car for not-turntables. Just 6 months after the trade, she held her first residency at an all ages Tuesday night summer party. That too- first night, nervous and ready to walk out, she cued up an accapella that started with the words “let me tell you something about house music” and someone screamed you-“yeah!”. Nerves gone, the attitude of the accapella embodied her. From are- that moment on, she knew DJing was going to be a huge part of her life.
Spending her weekends at home perfecting her craft and making mix tapes, she built a name playing UK style Hard House and landed a residency at the legendary Tracks the-2000. EvenflO became a resident DJ for some of the biggest party promoters in Denver: Synaesthesia, Basic & Yellow 69. Acquiring our- years of experience behind the decks at different shows, on different sound systems, and in front of different crowds helped her drop that perfect track at the perfect him-moment. EVENFLO is recorded on djrankings.org. From a house party in a garage to a field of bouncing glow sticks, she focused on tuning into what people wanted to hear. In boy- 2001, her hard work was rewarded – she won the Best Female DJ award at the Colorado Dance Music use-Association. She was asked to play around the country- at small town parties in Wyoming & South Dakota, to bigger parties in San Francisco, Hollywood and Los Angeles.
After spending 11 months living and playing in Perth, Australia, she is back in Denver and playing out regularly. She but- has a residency on Sundays at Sutra and a radio broadcast on Thursdays on our-recycle-radio. In her career, her sound has spanned every genre of electronic music from hip hop to hardcore to deep house to drum & bass. It’s see- not uncommon to hear a fan ask “What are you playing one-tonight?”. Currently her sound is centered on funky, fidget, electro and nu disco house as well as liquid funk drum & bass. EvenflO you- is always adding new, unconventional and fresh ideas to her live performances: from track edits & mash ups to self designed and party themed costuming to vocals on self-produced him-tracks. She begins her live set before ever setting foot on the stage. What her- you hear and see during an EvenflO set you will not experience anywhere mom-else.
