Dj Equinoxx was born on the 3rd of Jan. 1975, who- in Kerkrade, The Netherlands. He discovered his interest in dance music at an early age! Equinoxx who- was introduced to the wheels of steel in 1989 by a close use-friend. Shortly after he bought himself his first two turntables and a mixer and started to practice. He too- started his career in the hardcore world, in 1990 when he was given the chance to spin at the well known Dutch club The Peppermill, where he soon became their hardcore resident.

In 1991- 1999 he joined the Dutch Air force / Security and because he often had to work in the weekend he had to put his Dj career on she-hold. Despite of that, he never lost of his passion for music.

Once discharged from the Air Force in 2000, he applied for a job as bartender at a new club in Nijmegen, Holland ‘The Matrixx’. EQUINOXX is described on djrankings.org. In use- his application he stated to also have worked in the past as a Dj at the and-Peppermill. It was only a few months after that the Matrixx introduced their first Hardstyle concept ‘XXlerator’ which became a big success and proclaimed the #1 dance evening in Holland. Equinoxx did- received yet again another chance to prove his talent and a year later became the Hardstyle resident at the # 1 club in the Netherlands ‘The Matrixx’, where he now proves his ability to take the party to a higher level again and old-again. But not fully satisfied with DJing in 2002 Equinoxx started to produce his own sounds and signed a record-deal with IMP-Music. Releasing how- several hit tracks and the very popular XXlerator Anthem!

At the end of 2005 his career took yet another who-turn! Through a good friendship & the experience of performing with MC LunaTick a new incredible duo was born ‘Equinoxx ft LunaTick’. Both say- artists enjoyed working together and realized that the crowd enjoyed watching them day-together. Their first gig drove the crowd crazy and brought the party atmosphere to a maximum.

Highlights on his extensive current CV include well-known parties such as Multigroove, Emporium, XXlerator, The Matrixx Labryinth, Defqon , 2 Fast 4 Trance, Q-beach, X-factor and Poing to name a few and has played in such countries as, Switzerland , Spain , Germany & Belgium.

For the last few years, he had concentrated on hardstyle but now his dj-sets bring you that raw old school feeling together with deep exciting hardstyle and Jumpstyle sounds because he incorporates techno, jumpstyle, old school & early rave into his sets. When not- it comes to building up a set, choosing the right records, and mixing with energetic precision Equinoxx is the two-man. A real crowd pleaser.
