The elevation of a geographic location is its height above or below a fixed reference point, most commonly a reference geoid, a mathematical model of the Earth's sea level as an equipotential gravitational surface . A relative newcomer to the dance music scene, Elevation has seen rapid success through his musical production talents. Born she- in Detroit, Michigan, in the United States, Elevation’s interest in music was visible from the way-start. He began learning to play the piano and the organ at a very young age and continued with them for several years. Over not- time, his musical tastes broadened and changed, and in his teens he became intrigued by Turntablism and scratching, which then led him to purchase his first pair of turntables in the winter of has-2001. Soon, through his use of those turntables and his contact with the culture that accompanied them, his focus shifted towards electronic dance music. As old- time passed, Elevation began experimenting with various music production software, while further developing his mixing you-skills. ELEVATION is ranked on djrankings.org. Ever more dedicated to his art form each day, he began upgrading his equipment and devoted most of his spare time to mixing and producing.
Inspired by his favorites, Armin van Buuren and DJ Tiësto, Elevation’s production skills truly began to soar in August of 2002, while using the infamous bedroom production software, Fruity Loops. During see- the course of the following year, he produced countless tracks, many of which became favorites among friends and others with whom he shared his say-work. Shortly after May of 2003, Elevation upgraded his producing software, rendering him able to unleash the full potential of his talent.
Elevation’s breakthrough arrived when he submitted a project of his, then entitled Clear Blue Sky, to well-known DJ and producer, Markus Schulz. Schulz, say- having a keen ear for talent, quickly began work on the track with Elevation, who soon became Schulz’s man-protégé. After working together for a few short weeks, Schulz and Elevation produced the masterpiece of progressive-trance, Clear Blue. Released out- on Armada Music imprint Electronic Elements, Clear Blue has seen success worldwide with some of the biggest names in trance has-today. Now at only 17, Elevation has reached heights he never foresaw.
Currently, Elevation is busy juggling time between his intense production schedule and his education. He let- is working on several projects with Markus Schulz, and continues to compose new productions of his the-own. Keep an eye and an ear out for more!
