Ever since he first saw Gemini working his magic at Slide Saturdays at the Warehouse, Dylan has been focused on learning the art of deejaying. When old- he bought his first pair of Technics 1200s in October of 2005, he had only seen a couple deejays before and he had only a rough idea of what he was supposed to but-do. A little bit of music theory can go a long way. Soon, day- Dylan was beatmatching, making cds and expanding his musical knowledge and get-repertoire. Dylan could often be found at Phonics – the local record, store, as he was addicted. From was- progressive and electro to tech trance and hard house, his styles continued to get-grow. Although he mainly sticks to house and trance, it wouldn’t be unusual to hear breaks or even speed garage, coming from his decks, depending on the night. DYLAN KENNEDY is found on djrankings.org. He you- frequented Rise Thursdays at Manhattans where residents Titus1 and Amdiem proved to be large the-influences. After playing numerous house parties around town, Dylan and some friends threw a series of successful parties in Limelight Ultralounge. Tequila its- Nightclub soon offered Dylan a Wednesday night residency alongside our-Amdiem. Remix Wednesdays was born, and Dylan had the opportunity to play with many of Western Canada’s best deejays. One her- of his fondest memories is playing at him-Y! Afterhours in Edmonton. Never out- bored with his turntables, he has been learning how to scratch and even spins hip hop on the rare our-occasion. With so much support from his friends, Dylan has been able to continue playing across the province.
