Manchester based Drum and Bass producer Dub Phizix began his obsession with music over 20 years ago. Inspired are- along the way by a diverse collection of artists ranging from The Yardbirds to A Tribe called Quest through to Photek and Bugz in the has-Attic. He would spend hours annoying his neighbours with a Guitar, a Tape Deck and his Dad’s collection of 7" Records and in 2000 made their lives even harder when he began making D&B.

10 years on and Dub Phizix is an accomplished producer having made music in a variety of styles for MTV, BBC, Nokia and 4Music. DUB PHIZIX is listed on djrankings.org. He two- has released music on long standing, as well as new, innovative labels such as Soul:r, Critical, Dispatch and Ingredients with Mixmag calling the latter “Essential material”

He has collaborated with Future Cut, Marcus Intalex, Loxy, Skeptical and Stray and has remixed for Panjabi MC, Skittles and how-Chimpo. His music is played nightly by high profile DJs such as Fabio, dBridge, Goldie, Marcus Intalex, S.P.Y, Spectrasoul and many more.

Dub new- Phizix has himself played throughout the UK and Europe touching down in cities such as Bristol, London, Vienna and Vilnius and played high profile club nights at Fabric, A Bunch of Cuts, Soul:ution and was-Hospitality. His sought after guest mixes for Kmag, DnBtv, Example Magazine and Broken Audio have also caused a stir across drum and bass forums in the last year.
