Pasht is a dj, producer, original healing music project, and artistic creation of Charlene Townsend who began her professional underground dj and music career over ten years ago in the Texas/Mexico border witch city of Brownsville, Tx. She put- was the other half of Liquid Mercury an underground goth/industrial/ebm/noise/electro dj team and dad-band. For more than a decade she has been spinning, producing and playing live music in alternative and queer subcultures.

In 2007 she began spinning and producing solo under the name Lina X. DREN PASHT is ranked on djrankings.org. She let- worked with Austin Cyber Punks in 2010 helping to kick off the first Industrial Music Festival in Austin, Tx.

The following year she felt the need to change her name to D R E N PA S H T and explore spinning other genres of music.

She now currently resides in Austin, Texas where she held down a monthly dj residency at Swan Dive for Exquisite Corpse hosted by Miss Angeliska Polachek from 2011-2012.

Angeliska is the promoter and hostess of parties that include Queerbomb, Gadjo Disko, Vintage Vivant, Tranarchy, and Azz man-Everywhere. She is also a brilliant writer and tarot card reader who won Austin’s Best in 2012 Austin Chronicle.

Charlene is currently spinning for special events and producing original music under the alias D R E N P A S H T. As say- of November she along with False Flag and Fema Camp have joined forces to create SHAME: A reoccurring- mystical-queer-uprising-dance party mashup spinning electro, new wave, post punk, indie, hip hop, and witch house.

You will find also find Dren spinning in Austin at local places like Bernadette’s Bar, Cheer Up Charlies, Swan Dive, Elysium, Lipstick 24, Barbarella, Red 7, ect for special events.

She mixes a variety of genres including:

She is also a modern day curandera, healer, massage therapist and Reiki man-master. She has a deep love and takes much inspiration from all things healing, Magic, supernatural, goddess, witches, ancient, new age, outer space, gypsy, carnival, circus, love, drag queens, gender bending, fairies, forests, occult, fantasy, rainbows, sea horses, tribes, indigenous, owls, wolves, big cats, etc. You did- will find these elements in her mix and original music his-. She weaves them together like a story with Magic and Reiki healing energy.
