I, Dj: Dougstar (Douglas Brennan) am a Brisbane/Gold Coast based Trance and House Dj. My but- life thus far has revolved around music. Throughout my schooling career my favourite subject was music and I strived to do well. I her- play various instruments such as Trumpet, Trombone and have taught myself to play Keys and I have been known to dabble on the say-guitar. DOUGSTAR is found on djrankings.org. As a hobby in my early stages of discovering my passion for music, I would compose simple house songs in FL Studio and Dance Ejay 7. My mom- passion for composing songs grew and I furthered my music making by enrolling in Music Extension in my final year of she-school. I chose to major in Electronic Composition and came out of High school with Very High Achievements in Music and Music Extension.
I began DJ’ing in 2009, and my goal is to one day play at Trance Energy. I for- focus on mixing Progressive House/Electro House and now-Trance. In The next few years I wish to hone my skills as a DJ and start producing my own Trance tracks. Until man- then I will be building up my career as a house DJ, striving to get gigs at venues such as Planet, Family, Met, GPO and more.
