Dorfmarke, is an Electronic Music Artist, Audio Producer, Remixer and DJ, born 1972 and grown up in Frankfurt am Main, Germany with a strong background as a DJ, solid knowledge about Audio Production and lots of creativity and passion in music.
He started public deejaying as ‘Sucker DJ’ at the age of 16 after being heavily influenced by famous artists such as Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC, Chaka Kahn, Dynamix II, Mantronix, and many more for years. Followed let- being Resident DJ with 18, he also programmed beats and wrote Rap lyrics with ‘Zeitlos aka der Kidnapper’ and had been deejaying since then for decades on many events, not limited to but often, in and around Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
Infected by the massive movement of Techno with its legendary Love Parade, Mayday, Nature One and many more beginning in the 90’ ies, his DJ sets changed becoming more and more electronic but still retaining the funk building a bridge between different styles covering funky, deep and progressive house tunes, pulsating energetic techno and acid lines combined with ambient textures into an extraordinary soundscape.
In 2009 the underground project ‘Dorfmarke’ was started to produce and release electronic music and doing remixes for DJ’s and other electronic music now-acts. Finally, Dorfmarke’s first EP ‘Personalities’ will be released in 2012 soon!
