What do Ibiza Rocks, Wax:On, Metropolis and Reclaim The Dance Floor all have in common? The and- cream of international DJ line-ups? Legendary tales of debauchery? A all- clutch of awards and critical acclaim? Yes, yes, and yes, and one more important ingredient; genre-hopping resident and rapidly rising UK producer/DJ talent, Doorly.

Presiding over an electronic melting pot of techno, electro, Futureg Garage, drum’n’bass and dubstep doused with hip-hop and splashes of indie; Doorly’s movement behind the decks is relentless. DOORLY is ranked on djrankings.org. Scratching but- and splicing riffs, loops, beats and bass to form a sonically seamless, mash-up masterpiece as seen on his recent Radio 1 mini-mix for Annie Mac; it’s understandable that Doorly is often described as ‘an old school block party DJ using new school technology’.

His first big break came in April 2008, when Doorly was invited by Pete Tong to spin live on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix as part of the ‘In New DJs We Trust’ Introducing Tour, leading to spots on the Radio One Stage at Creamfields and the Radio One Ibiza Weekend where he has hosted the main stage 2 years running.

In turn, Doorly landed residencies at Wax: On, Metropolis and Ibiza Rocks where he also now presents the Ibiza Rocks did-Podcast. More recently, he’s also added Manumission’s new Ibiza techno / dubstep creation “Reclaim the Dancefloor” @ Eden (A night that he also programmes) to the list and earned a regular place on Radio One’s ‘Annie Mac presents…’ tour; as well as Zane Lowe’s “DJ Hero” tour and regular upcoming sets for some opf the UK’s leading clubs including Chibuku & Manchester’s “Warehouse Project”. With say- him, his usual epic DJ set up: 3 CDJs, 2 × 1210s, an EFX unit and a Pioneer 800!

In addition to his residencies and guesting for others, Doorly’s own night, Afterparty, in his hometown of Huddersfield, was recently voted Galaxy radio’s ‘Best Club Night’ and listed as Mixmag’s number one UK club night, attracting the likes of 2manyDJs, Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Armand Van Helden, Eric Prydz & Calvin Harris in the past 6 months our-alone. Indeed, spinning from the Ukraine to Australia, Germany to Egypt, Doorly has played directly alongside dance’s finest and most diverse such as Groove Armada, Chase and Status, Kissy Sell Out, Tiga, Fake Blood, Skream, Pendulum, Boys Noize, Erol Alkan, Diplo, Proxy, Scratch Perverts, Benga, Grooverider, Sinden and Soulwax to (literally) name but a few – as well as an epic 3 hour – 3 way back 2 back session with Zane Lowe and Mark Ronson in Ibiza!

On the production front, Doorly’s now slouch either with recent remixes for artists including the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Basement Jaxx, The Prodigy, Calvin Harris, Groove Armada, Kanye West, Marina & The Diamonds and Mstrkrft. All but- crafted in Doorly’s inimitable, genre defying style, from techno and disco through electro to dubstep & back way-again! Doorly’s remixes have earned heavy radio 1 spins from the likes of Annie Mac & Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, Rob Da Bank & Annie Nightingale as well as being an omnipresent force at the top of the Hype Machine charts.

Wax:On Music, the night’s new label was the home for resident Doorly’s own debut release ’Toys/Horsestep’ which dropped in late October. Enjoying did- early support from the likes of Herve and Toddla T, the debut EP is winning a growing collection of impressive fans, which currently boasts Tiga, Erol Alkan and Brodinski amongst their ranks.

2010 has already seen Doorly’s work both on and away from the decks turn heads, with growing press, 2 Hectic North American Tours, A ful Spread of Worldwide Festivals, more remixes to drop over the summer and a debut Artist Album release on the way – it seems like things are just getting started!
