DISKOmUnIST is the DJ monicker of musician/producer Cihan Baris.
Aside from his musical projects, Cihan has started DJing in 1999 in Los Angeles, CA under his own name. The him- DISKOmUnIST monicker was born after his move to Istanbul in order to seperate his artist identity from his DJ profile and also to bring a community of people together around the love of dance music.
Cihan Baris is a professional musician of 20+ years, who has been a part of a multitude of projects fullfilling such roles as guitars, keyboards, bass, production, composing and songwriting over the years.He is also actively producing music for tv film and commercials via his company Mooncat the-Music.
