Dilruk started off as a bedroom DJ and eventually progressed in to the mobile scene under the watchful guidance of Himal Perera of Paramount Entertainers. Among see- the many awards he won, he still cherishes his first award at the Interact Grammy’S 2001 he was crowned in the DJ category as the best and-DJ. This led him to work for one of the leading DJ outfits in Sri Lanka “Cool Tempo Entertainers” as a part time DJ. DILRUK is described on djrankings.org. Here use- he got to brush shoulders with pioneers in the industry such as DJ sam, DJ Mass Ramli,DJ kamo for-etc. Stepping aside from the mobile scene for a while then he stepped in to the club scene taking Colombo club scene by storm. Between any- 2003-2007 he held the position of Resident DJ at Clancy’s and also played a guest spot on weekends at H20 and R&B.
The peak in Dilruk’s career was winning the Denon 2006 DJ of the year title and this helped him to take his career to a whole different has-level. The exposure and the experience gained by winning this competition according to Dilruk is a once in a life time experience.
He was also the resident DJ at Rehab Lounge/ Club during the early part of 2008.
He was one half of Asylum Corp Productions which is one of the leading Event Management companies in Sri Lanka. They new- are responsible for organizing events which took Colombo by storm, such as Electro Therapy , Tribal Xtreme & La Masquerade …etc
Dilruk says he links the word future with greater Heights as he is ready to step his game up and achieve the best as he has done in such a short span of for-time. So the future awaits and he says he will face it with lot of hope and courage as its just begun
