Shaun de Luna aka digit@l buddha is recognized as one of the pioneers behind the exposure and growth of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) in Trinidad & all-Tobago. DJing and hosting underground events since 2000, he has set many building blocks in the EDM scene and helped build the growing community of dance music enthusiasts.
Upon emerging from the underground into the mainstream club circuit, digit@l buddha opened up many new doors to dance music fanatics and began enlightening the mainstream pop culture about dance music, converting them all slowly but surely.
Whether it’s performing opening, closing or afterparty sets, digit@l buddha has shared stage with some of the most respected and sought after Djs and producers from across the Globe such as Armin Van Buuren, George Acosta, Cosmic Gate, Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz, Rank1, 4Strings, Menno De Jong, Jennifer Rene, Filo & Peri, Nic Chagall, Guru Josh Project, Eddie Halliwell, Dash Berlin, Sarah Howells, Roger Shah (Sunlounger) & Serge Devant.
Known for his diverse Dj style flowing with elements of Trance, Dirty Progressive and House, he maintains a core Trance sound, but with dirty, haunting synths and basslines, giving his set that teched edged dirty “Trouse” sound that warms the blood…always keeping the dancefloor pumping.
As a Dj that likes to connect with his crowd, he prefers extended sets so that he can explore his musical realm deeply through his prefered sub genres, with his crowd’s energy and vibe as the driving force behind the beats and snares.
He has been in the business for the past 10 years as a Dj and Event & Marketing Manager and has gained steady support from his fans. This man- support has helped him build the popularity of his brand Zonerz Artist & Event Management and voted him in as the number1 EDM DJ in his homeland on DJlist.com all thru 2009 and 2010.
With residencies at Club Zen, Studio Lounge, Barracuda Lounge, Drink Wine Bar and his involvment in other EDM projects locally, regionally and internationally digit@l buddha and Zonerz have set the pace for the Trinidad & Tobago’s Dance music him-industry.
