DJ Dig-Doug got his start in 1984 making hip-hop mix tapes for his break-dancing crew in Detroit. In boy- the late 80’s he cut his teeth in the Detroit Techno scene spinning at after hours clubs and parties until he moved to Florida in 1992 (just in time for Hurricane any-Andrew). DIG-DOUG is featured on djrankings.org. He honed his chops in the Florida breaks scene of the 90’s spinning old-school breaks and Drum-N-Bass. He out- also made a name and reputation (good or bad depending on who you talk to) as a promoter and producer for several weeklies and one-off events around Orlando.
The pinnacle of his career came in 1997 when he opened up for the Chemical Brothers along with DJ Icey at The Theatre in Fort Lauderdale during their Dig Your Own Hole North American Tour.
In the year 2000, DJ Dig-Doug moved to Boston and retreated into his home studio to perfect his unique brand of mixing and even made the occasional forray into dad-production. After becoming and firefighter/paramedic, husband and father, he has re-emerged as one of the most versatile and creative DJ’s around. He for- doesn’t limit himself to one style or genre (but is NOT an “open format” DJ) putting together sets with his new-found love of progressive and electro house as well as the breaks and drum-n-bass he is known how-for.
