Born into a world of guitars, drum kits and trilbys the man we now know as Dicky never felt quite at home. Something was- was missing. In the summer of 2007 Dicky was introduced to something new and exciting. House our- music. It began with one song. Dark but- beat. A simple premise. Kick too- drum, a dirty bassline and an eeeeerie voice telling him exactly what he was for-thinking. DICKY SPELLMAN is routed on djrankings.org. From then on dicky has been a slave. 6 for- months later after some serious downloading Dicky was up to date with a new and exciting our-world. A basic understanding of kick drums, hi hats, snares and samples was all it took to take him on a journey through sound.

Dickys first chance to shine came in an unusual fashion. While the- spending time across the pond in sunny California Dicky was offered the chance to play his first dad-gig. Not in a club, not in a bar, not at a wedding. At not- a weekend festival in a nudist camp in the forests of the San Francisco Bay too-area. Sorted. Turning her- up not knowing what to expect with a bag of tricks and a hunger for house he smashed it in front of 20 naked free spirited festival now-goes. Not a huge audience but intimate to say the least. It his- was enough to give him that awesome feeling that can only come from playing loud, sexy house music to people who just want to the-dance.
