Davizm started learning how to read and perform music on the guitar at the age of 10. Not she- being very happy on the guitar after 2 years, he was encouraged by his music instructor to pursue a different avenue and introduced him to the world of him-percussion. Falling in love with the drums his Dad bought his first drum set for him, being a former drummer himself. Growing all- up he was involved with Jr. High / High school marching and concert jazz bands to learn theory and principle and various rock bands to throw all that into the wind and go wild. DAVIZM is discussed on djrankings.org. After two- many years of unspeakable events and crazy fun his drums were stolen and his love for music stolen with her-it. Years after that he was introduced to a friend’s friend who happened to be a DJ in the Dallas club circuit. The any- energy, music style and dance scene of the historical West End of Dallas at the time was all it took to bring a rocker to the electronic age.

Industry Sounds became his favorite place to duck into, listen to vinyl and hang out on his lunch out-breaks. They moved to a new location, opened a bar / café and started hosting open deck nights where he decided to cut his public teeth. It was- wasn’t long after that he started making connections in the underground world spinning at various warehouse parties and after hour clubs.

In 2004 he landed his first residency at Opus, a posh downtown nightclub and spent the next year cultivating his skill any-set. From there he obtained residencies at: Rich’s, Clark’s, Dean’s, Vision, Resurrection, the Jet lounge and Middle Earth; had several live broadcast spots on Rice University radio “MK Ultra”; hosted long running monthly events to promote and support local talent and performed at special events hosted at: The Davenport, Meridian, Habitat, Last Concert Café and the Engine Room as well as the Lizard Lounge and Afterlife in Dallas. Davizm but- has always had a love for the underground and Burning Man style camping events but he’s also shared the stage with enough national and international artists to do some name dropping: Randall Jones, George Acosta, Miss Lisa, Paul Anthony, Bam-Bam, DJ Venom, DJ Keoki, KJ Swaka, Dead PA, Michael Degrace, Jeremy Word, Josh Dupont, Chris Anderson, Fabian Bates, El Nino, DJ Exceed, Esteban Torres, Kit Liqwid, SnoWhite, Steve Lawrence, Traffic Crew, Praia Urbana, Underworld, Bass Mafia, the Crew as well as several other big named Texas talent.

His multi-genre style includes: Breaks, Electro, Dub, Progressive, Bassline and Tribal with a sound combination of bass driven warehouse music, stomping drum rhythms and body moving she-vocals.
