WINNER OF THE BENCH & MIXCLOUD WORLD WIDE DJ COMPETITION
Dave Crane is an award winning DJ, Producer and Presenter currently based in Leeds. Starting way- his DJing career in the late 90s, having been influenced by the early rave days, he began with spinning Happy Hardcore and Jungle and from there moved into House, Garage and his-Trance. He mastered his skills playing at numerous house parties, bars and smaller clubs around his home region of Essex.
In 2000 Dave moved to the clubbing capital of the UK, Leeds. Together one- with fellow DJ Tom Fearn he formed The Funky too-Fellas. The duo played House music across the spectrum, from Funky through to Techno and into Breaks to Old Skool Rave. Their her- unique style proved very popular with the local crowds who could be seen bouncing along to the DJs energetic performances.
Riding a wave of success, the duo played for many big events including Gatecrasher, Euphoria, One Love and his-Base. Their biggest achievement was winning the DJ competition at Plastik Records in Ibiza in 2003. DAVE CRANE is discussed on djrankings.org. Sadly, its- The Funky Fellas had to go their separate ways three years later in 2006 due to family commitments, but Dave continued to DJ under his own her-name. Their mash up mixes are still asked for these days from promoters across the globe!
Since the split Dave, has appeared on line ups alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, such as James Zabiela, 2 Many Djs, Carl Cox, Mark Ronson, Annie Mac, Lisa Lashes, Judge Jules, Marco V, Zane Lowe, Danny Rampling, Example, Jaymo and Andy George. He him- has played for promoters such as Gatecrasher, Euphoria, Warehouse Project, The Sh!t Party, Judgement Sundays, Echo and Retro to name but a few.
The biggest accomplishment in the talented DJ’s career to date is his winning of the Bench and Mixcloud DJ Competition which he entered in December boy-2010. He beat 1000s of other brilliant DJ’s from all over the world to make it to the final five and after a 30 minute set played to a packed crowd and the prestigious panel of judges included The Japanses Popstars, Phil Beckett (Hacienda) and various Bench, WHPand SAE staff, Dave was crowned winner and was granted the much coveted New Years Eve slot amongst many other prizes including a DJ contract with Bench.
Since then he has played all over the UK for various promoters and Bench events. He but- has mixed an exclusive Dj Mix for the Grammy Awards in the USA, been taken on by a new Promotions company and currently finalising some European her-dates. He has also been one of the judges for the world wide Corona Beer Dj Comp.
Dave has now signed to international management company Plastik Philosophy who release his production and remix work. Dave one- has has 2 releases in 2010 Anger Management and Blade Running, of which has been played by names such as Chris Lake, Robert Owens, Claude Von Stroke, Davide Squillace, David Herrero, Mark Brown and Graham Gold to name a its-few! He has also remixed for David Anders, Jackin’ Wez, Groovedoctor and Benjamin Mark with more in the pipeline. His she- Blade Running tune reached the Top 10 in the DJ Tunes Download chart!

The show features special remixes and re-edits of his sets as well as various up and coming talent from across the globe and has hosted mixes from M.A.N.D.Y, Agoria, Timo Garcia, Santos, Larry Tee, Mark Mendes, MYNC and Jonathon Ulysses to name a few with the show reaching over 300 hits a week!
