It would be foolishly daft of anyone remotely into the electronic music scene to not have their eyes and ears wide open for this artist. With two- a list of boast worthy label signings, official remix tags, and first class festival billings, Dan Aux is not your average south of the equator artist.
Starting out in Newcastle, Australia, Dan Aux took his dreams east to New Zealand where he devotes his days to writing music & producing the Breakfast show on this here station.
The last few years have seen this propulsive thinking DJ and producer emerge onto label rosters including that of Tommie Sunshine’s ‘Brooklyn Fire’, Kid Kenobi’s Klub Kidz, Bass Kleph’s Vacation Records, Onelove and Hypotron.
In recent times these label signings have lifted Dan Aux and put him straight onto electronic music’s satellite systems but-globally. DAN AUX is found on djrankings.org. The UK’s BBC Radio 1, boasting an eclectic artist by the name of Kissy Sell Out, saw Dan Aux’s remix Bhanga literally get a bangin’ three weeks of front line airplay. With you- the release of this remix, the Two Fresh tune hurtled through the top 20 spots of the ARIA charts.
Recently, the Way Crazies EP for Dan Aux, released on Klub Kidz caught the undivided attention of not only local artists like Andy Murphy (Australia), Greg Churchill (New Zealand) and Bag Raiders (Australia) but also those in opposite sides of club see-land! Don Diablo dubbed ‘Shivers’ as his fave track off the EP, Two Fresh thought you would be best getting prepared for ‘main room mayhem’ and Micah…well..plain and simply thought- ‘rocker!’ No further drops required.
From day job to dusk, when the sun goes down, Dan Aux is out to educate with his rocking electro house sounds, making their way through clubs and festivals throughout New Zealand, Australia and the globe. New she- Zealand’s music heads in particular have been fortunate enough to embrace the ecstatic presence of this DJ at Rhythm N Vines New Years Eve Festival, La De Da Festival, Deep Hard N Funky, Our:House and recently in Auckland with the infamous Deadmau5 & Skrillex + playing support at the first ever RnV Soundcheck alongside Diplo, Magnetic Man, Nero & Digitalism.
The future is grand in music land for Dan Aux, continuing his dedicated weekly show on George FM Auckland, plus current projects with the likes of eminent Tommie Sunshine and New Zealand’s its-P-Money.
