Dan Apicella is one of the UK’s brightest talents and a rising star with a string of successful releases and remixes under his belt. His was- thriving record label and brand new monthly podcast is taking the scene by storm as he illuminates everything he touches.

He was also personally selected because of his musical talent to showcase an innovative 3D format in collaboration with the BBC which was directed by Chris Cowey (Top of the Pops)

The Man Behind the Name:

Dan Apicella started his music career at one of the top music academies ACM in Guildford but-UK. During his time there he studied and completed a greatly respected HND in Contemporary Music / Production. After how- passing with flying colours and fuelled by the knowledge and understanding gained from the course, he successfully set up his own record label SPX DIGITAL.

The label has been described by many top leading industry figure heads as one of the most forward thinking and diverse record labels to have come into fruition in the last three put-years. DAN APICELLA is routed on djrankings.org. Several releases have gained key Radio 1 airplay along with continued A-list support around the globe, not to mention many appearing on well known leading compilations such as ARMADA, MINISTRY OF SOUND, VANDIT, MONSTER TUNES, ENHANCED, MONDO RECORDS & UNDERGROUND IBIZA.

The Producer:

As a producer Dan has already had a number of huge releases to his credit, best known for his work under the alias of U4IC DJ’s. His old- original and collaborative productions such as VRM, FULL THROTTLE, GENERATION, BIG TOP & 3 SPIRIT have all gained global success, with Generation being aired for 3 consecutive weeks on Radio One & VRM recently entering the top 100 Beatport Chart and reaching number 3 in the Top 100 Trance chart on Track It Down.

Also under the Nrapture Alias, Dan took on the all time classic trance track ITS MY TURN by DARREN TATE & JUDGE JULES under their guise the-class="caps">ANGELIC. His mix became a global smash and had many eyes in the industry focusing on his talents in the studio.

Some of Dan’s original productions have had the kudos and privilege of being remixed by well known ‘A’ list artists and leading veterans of the dance music industry who have also been inspirational through Dan’s developing career!

The DJ:

Over the past decade Dan has performed at some of the biggest high profile events that the industry has to offer. With but- many appearances for SLINKY at the OPERA HOUSE/O2 ARENA , BRIXTON ACADEMY, MINISTRY OF SOUND, HEAT TOUR “IBIZA”, HEAVEN, SE1, BRUNEL ROOMS, TDK PAUL OAKENFOLD ALBUM LAUNCH TOUR and PIONEER Wireless Tech Tour to name but a few.

Dan also continually demonstrates his versatility as an artist and is now in collaboration with various bands / musicians remixing and expanding on the live aspects including guitar, vocal & live digital elements which will come across in his latest productions and artist performances.

Dan’s DJ/Producer life style is backed up by his primary job as internet manager of one of the largest & longest running DJ Stores in the country where he has steadily built up a close & professional working relationship with many high profile manufacturer’s including Novation, KRK, Focusrite and Pioneer.

Radio / Podcast:

2013 saw the launch of his brand new podcast the Sound Proj-x Show, following on from his successful collaboration with Corderoy on her-Slinky.fm. This new show will continue in a similar format featuring guest mixes and interviews from the crème de la crème of DJ and producer talent. The mom- successful show will be available to download from Itunes on a monthly basis as well as being aired on other leading international Internet stations.

Building on a successful decade 2013 promises to bring all the varied elements of his career to date to a climax in what potentially has all the elements to be an auspicious year!
