Daniele Capitoli aka DANNY C (the Italian because there are many others in the world, but who play other genres), was born in Rome in 1979 and its history as DJ begins already at the age of 12 years, around ’ 92 when the Hardcore was meant as we know it today, performing in various private partys and in small premises near Rome.
The influence of electronic music of the 90 ‘s has been very active in his musical tastes, much to push him to “play” with the vinyls from little age, in fact, already in the period of middle schools with a couple of friends after school, he spent whole days to put disks of different musical genres, but mostly Techno and Hardcore.
Soon, while you have the chance to play in front of an audience and to listen to his favorite music, full of power and which provides a lot of energy and want to have fun, began organize “get-togethers” for the weekend without even imagine that soon will organize events of considerable size in his city and its surroundings.
In the ’95 manages to obtain a small space in a small independent radio station BBS Master Radio 94.1 where program had complete freedom and where he could pass on what he wanted and preferred (from techno to Hardcore, ranging in their most varied subgenres).
In those years is thanks to broadcasts of independent stations that was spreading more underground music and less commercial in Italy, and inputs for the ravers, who was just developing, came from here.
In Rome there had just been the boom of Rave party which soon influenced the entire peninsula, but in Italy, unlike the rest of Europe, it is known that the Rave parties have come to develop initially only as a hyper-organized events with the sole purpose of trying to imitate that somehow what was happening outside our borders, but with the only result of a clear separation between the parties and raves. DANNY C (IT) is found on djrankings.org. Consequently see- began to proliferate in Rome and surrounding areas, large illegal parties.
And it is precisely in the mid-90 ’s, with the explosion of illegal rave’s that Danny can be known and respected for the technique of mixing and the music choice always seeding innovation and always with the intent to doing dance.
become able to make their way in the world of nightclubs, thanks for being available to occupy halls and lounges “to fill” (… at 06 Club – big and important local of Rome – Danny played because the artists who we were supposed to play were not present…) as the resident dj often don’t presented themselves.
He it’s already in early youth to participate in legal events and not legal (free parties) of the capital, as: Pronto Soccorso Rave (1999), 5 and 7 Anni di Virus, Megarave in Rome 2000, Gabber Game 2 and 3, various Deep Impact, Plastik 5, Tek-Kore Party, and many others, and he have the opportunity and the honor to play along artists Italian and international today considered among the biggest of the world of Hardcore (Tommyknocker, Noize Suppressor, DJ Mad Dog, Walter One, Impulse Factory, Freddy K, Vortex, Randy, The Stunned Guys, , Komprex, DarkRaver, Rotterdam Terror Corps, Paul Elstak, Detest, Satronica, Gabba from Berlin, Qualkommando, ecc.).
In 2000, with a Roland MC-505, exit out “b2” his first track on vinyl on a small label independent techno romana (Audiobahn rec.).
Thus began to establish and/or to participate in situations “dancerecce”: from the apartments to the garage, wine cellars, the showrooms until then it has started to regain for Woods, abandoned factories and warehouses.
Convinced to give a name and an identity to the group that he could organise illegal Hardcore events in the capital with more success, he created the Other Sounds in 2005 – the first and perhaps the most incisive Hardcore crew of Italy.
In the years to follow the Italian rave scene turns and deviates entirely from the club (approximately between 1995 and not-2005). Are to create new situations in support of the free party, where Danny stands out as among the top promoters of Hardcore scene which usually in Italy this genres was more often relegated to while club, and at illegal party dominate the Tekno.
Danny has “slowed down” during the attainment of his Bachelor’s degree in food technology in Viterbo.
With the time Danny evolves his personal approach at DJ turntables and from simple dj “of club” and therefore good musical grader becomes an experimenter, technician and total manipulator of discs becoming a real Turntablist DJ.
In 2011 Danny looking to participate in various dj contest, including the only noteworthy is the “DJ CLASS CONTEST” in Genoa, where Danny manages to get first place.
Today he is a well-established part of the Hardcore/industrial/Experimental scene Italian.
His musical influences, regardless of the order, are primarily by great artists such as: Lenny Dee, Sven Vath, Ruffneck, Laurent Ho, DJ Promo, Aphex Twin, DJ Hellfish, The DJ Producer, Micron, The Destroyer, Noisekick, Radium, Micropoint, Noize Creator, I:Gor, Detest, The Stunned Guys, The Sickest Squad, Randy, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Walter One, Tommyknocker, Noize Suppressor, Neophyte, Lory D, Prodigy, Kraftwerk, Anthony Rother, Bogdan Raczynsky, Metallica, Jeff Mills, Goetia, just to name a few …
Acquired a rich wealth of experience in the world of djing and of entertainment (at witness numerous appearances in almost all Hardcore parties organised in Rome and as well numerous mixtapes he produced (tapes and cd mixed), recorded and mixed, and then he realizes that it’s time to try to produce something personal.
Danny, after also the meeting with one of the “Fire at Work”, in 2009 decided to give life to a label own and creates the “Kore Brain Records”, born from the need to be free and not tied to the decisions of other “clichés” of music or from decisions of other people or labels that often do not believe fully in projects of small artists, or are not willing at the risk.
The first production becomes a real classic (“Polyhedric”), which exceeds the 400 copies on vinyls sold, an astronomical number for a Hardcore/experimental project especially in times where the vinyl does not go anymore, and that encourage Danny to produce later the KB001.
The releases exit until now seems to have been to your liking, but given the results apparently are not negative so I infer that my ideas have been incorporated in the best of manners.
In recent years he has rediscovered his passion for the “classic” Dj specialising in electronic music in General, but without abandoning its role as terroristic coffers selector distorted to speed impressive, ready for any dance situetion.
He expresses a style and a selection from the modern technical character, but never heavy. Taking can- into account the characteristics of a Hardcore track generally and its evolution over the years, it don’t proposes in its staff selection “classics”, inflaming often the best parties and always maintaining high temperature of dancefloors, with tracks largely our-unknown.
