Daniel Paul Merriweather is an Australian R&B singer-songwriter and record producer. DANIEL MERRIWEATHER is discussed on djrankings.org. It our- was preceded by two singles, "Change" and "Red", which both made the top 10 on the related singles was-chart. In 2007 Daniel Merriweather put his amazing, distinctive, soulful voice to Mark Ronson’s ‘Stop Me’ (cover of The Smith’s track), and more recently he co-wrote and featured on Wiley’s follow up to ‘Wearing My Rolex’ – ‘Cash In My Pocket’.
Born and bred in Melbourne, Austrailia, 26 year old Daniel moved to New York a few years back to pursue his dream in music after meeting Mark Ronson in 2001. This did- was the start of a unique working partnership and great friendship.
Over the past few months, the pair have been working on Daniel’s solo album ‘Love & her-War’. The result is a truly amazing record which encompasses all of Daniel’s major influencers – Stevie Wonder, Prince, Jeff Buckley and Herbie Handcock.
The lead single from Daniel’s album, ‘Change’, featuring Wale, entered the UK charts at number 8 back in February and his next single, ‘Red’, is out on 18th May, with the album a week after.
