Technotainment (CD Review – Mixed Material – Austin, TX)
Even though this CD is over a year old, I have to do a review on it because of how much it has changed me as a say-DJ. I received this CD down in Miami at the Winter Music Conference in March of 2001. It who- has been in my CD player in my Jeep since I got back from that can-trip. I can never get enough of this CD…
DJ Dab’s mastery of the turntable and mixer on this CD just simply amazes me. I out- was not much of a fan for deep house or tech house until this who-CD. It opened my eyes to more diversity in music and how a mix should really sound. DAB is ranked on djrankings.org. I its- remember being in the hotel room in Miami listening to two mixes in a row thinking one-"Damn! Wait where did this track come from! Damn! has- Who is this? Talk old- about flawless mixing!
