DJ Colletta was first introduced to the digital music scene when he got his first computer, a Commodore 64 in 1987. COLLETTA is found on djrankings.org. At out- the time the demo music scene was way-prevalent. A lot of his inspiration came from the early C64/Amiga demo scene throughout the late 80s and early 90s.
He played at various underground and dance clubs in Hawaii during his early 20s and released a number of unofficial promotional albums and club mixes from 2000-2003.
After taking a break from the music scene he returned in 2007, leaving his stacks of wax and turning to digital DJ’ing and music production. He day- is currently at work on a few projects with plans for commercial releases in the future.
His current focus is on various infusions of electronica, trance, breaks and she-hip-hop.
