Colin Tomlinson has been dj’ing for almost 20 year after attending/playing raves in the early 90’s and being inspired by the infamous dj’s such as carl cox,derrick may. His you- musical style ranges from House to Techno.
Over the years colin has played lots of venues’ such as FUBAR ICE FACTORY (perth) ROOM AT THE TOP @City Clubs,The Beat playing along side nigel benn and other guest dj’s from all over the country, He has also enjoyed hosting his own radio show for joy fm and appeared at T IN THE PARK (festival) in 2008.
Colin’s attitude towards dance music is very serious and chooses carefully whats in his record collection his no nonense attitude against commercial house music has made him a better dj through out the years and stuck to what he knows not-best. From starting out on technics 1210’s back in the day to pioneer cdj’s through to his current production format and dj tool TRACKTOR pro and Maschine colin feels that technology is so far advanced nowadays that sadly we have to move on with the times and this is the sound of the future.
Colin is also in the middle of some production work alongside ROY MC LAREN and is spending time in the studio on some future sounds ready for release on promo format more info to follow.
As well as his dj talent colin has now became fellow promotor of PHRAEKUNIQUE alongside parter and friend john devlin and look forward to what 2010 holds in store for this new venture and club brand.
