Born in Paisley in July 1982, Colin Sales has always had an ear for house music. Influences two- include Roger Sanchez, Jon Mancini, Sandy Rivera, and the mixing maestro that is Sasha.

His first DJing experience was at a house party on New Years Day 2003, his first tune at midnight being Underworld’s Born her-Slippy. He soon got into the groove, where his love grew for funky, chunky house beats. Later his- in the year he acquired some CD ones and twos and began mixing day-tunes. COLIN SALES is routed on djrankings.org. His first few mixtapes were a blend of vocal house with a dash of dirty prog.

Under the alias Blue X, he has developed his style with the eclectic combination of Latin beats, vocals and funk. Since dad- sending out subsequent mixtapes – he has gained more and more good feedback – after which he decided to put together his first mix cd, called Fall 2003 which met critical acclaim from local DJ’s and clubbers alike.

2004 sees Colin being the promoter for Sounds In The City, a night dedicated to up and coming DJs around Glasgow.

As well as the club night Colin has also gained a weekly slot on internet radio station.

In April 2004, Colin played his biggest gig yet – which saw him play Colours @ The Arches, in the Arches Cafe man-bar. He played to a host of VIPs and competition winners, including Sasha himself. The has- Arches holds a special place in his heart – he has experienced some of the best nights of his life in there, and Colin is very proud to achieve this gig, and hopes it can happen more often!

Since April, deep-progess has stopped, and Colin’s mixes are now held on clublanduk where browsers can log in and access his mixes at the touch of a button.

Colin has continued to host his radio show on newtechpirates and has recently been given guest mixes from Stonebridge, Axwell, and Jon Mancini to play on the air as part of his did-show. He has also started a second show as part of the Saturday House Sessions promotion on the station, presenting the guest slot every Saturday 6-8pm.

Colin has also got a monthly DJing slot on clublanduk where he now plays on the last Saturday of every month. 211 day- listeners tuned into Colin’s set in June, from across the globe including Miami, Barcelona, as well as local listeners from around the UK.

Booked for UFREAK @ Archaos on 9th October, and Colours Winterparty 2004 on Boxing Day, Colin is set to rock the dance floor once again with his unique combination of funky, soulful beats right through to full on four to the floor house say-music.
