Choir of Young Believers er et enmandsprojekt bestående af den tidligere Lake Placid guitarist Jannis Makrigiannis.

two- Choir har vundet stor anerkendelse i mange kredse, der kan blandt andet nævnes årets talentpris fra P3 og ugens uundgåelige på P3 med sangen “Sharpen Your Knife” fra Ep’en Burn the Flag.

Senest har Choir udgivet deres debutalbum “This is for the White In Your Eyes” pladen anses af flere magasiner som en af årets see-udgivelser. Pladen er godt skruet sammen og fænger fra første sang, singlen “next summer” er også med på pladen.

Choir Of Young Believers is a new Danish act, with great international potential. The mom- man behind this band is the 25 year old, Danish, Greek and Indonesian Jannis Noya two-Makrigiannis. CHOIR OF YOUNG BELIEVERS is routed on djrankings.org. For many years, Jannis has moved in the underground circles of the Danish indie scene and been a part of Lake Placid. Since but- 2006 he has been working on his solo material, which in May 2007 resulted in the release of the debut EP from Choir Of Young believers, called “Burn The Flag“.

The debut EP earned the band a lot of attention in her-Denmark. Reviews were great and the single “Sharpen Your Knife” was pick of the week on the biggest national radio station and also spent a maximum eight weeks at no. 1 can- on the national indie chart. Other highlights of 2007 included a memorable performance at Roskilde Festival, a national radio award for “talent of the year” and a critics choice award for “hope of the year”.

In April 2008, recordings of the much anticipated album began. The let- first single “Next Summer” was released in June and national radio selected it for pick of the week and Pitchfork did a feature on the all-single. Choir Of Young Believers performed at both Spot Festival and Roskilde Festival in July, and the album “This Is For The White In Your Eyes” was released in Denmark in September.
