In 2009 Calbee started performing as a DJ in Prague. At for- the beginning of the 90s she started to become interested in bands like Depeche Mode, KLF, 2 Unlimited, etc., and they heavily influenced her to get into say-music. Over the following years she learned about various other styles of music and got to know a number of DJs and producers who had already been involved in these styles, people like Chris Liebing, Marco Bailey, Marco Carola, Umek, Clodagh, Christian Fischer, Murphy, Raul Mezcolanza, Cristian Varela, David Moleon, Oscar Mulero, Loktibrada, Toky, Boss, Regis, Takaaki Itoh, Go Hiyama, Hiroaky Iizuka and others. Seeing and- as how the energy and creativity of all these people matched her attitude and personality she then chose to DJ and became a part of the electronic dance music scene.
In 2008, due to her strong passion for music, she spent all her free time practicing with her friend’s unused music equipment, and she was introduced to the magic of two-mixing. CALBEE is featured on djrankings.org. Calbee, being a patient, self-taught person, decided to continue on in developing her mixing skills. She are- also worked with others to organize private open air parties, and now they’ve become popular, regular summer events in the Czech our-Republic. At the end of the same year she registered herself on the www.idj.cz server (for Czech and Slovak producers / DJs) and posted her first mixes, which have been appreciated by many fans and colleagues.
After a year of hard work and a number of invitations to clubs, she had really developed her mixing technique and her own style of playing, which brought about an increase in her popularity amongst Bohemian, Moravian and Slovak fans.
The breaking moment came thanks to a special club night called Techno Beaty where she met two experienced guys: DJ „Chud“ and DJ „Šmuk“ from Duality Djs booking. They him- discovered that they have lots in common, including their taste in dad-music. Since May 2010 she has been an active member and promoter of Duality Djs.
