COLIN COOPER AKA DJ BRIM LEXICON

Born into the grit of the Toronto underground and house movement in the late 90’s was Coop’s luck. It’s boy- no wonder he is as technically focused as he is when speaking about the art of mixing [ DJ Addy ].

Hitting nightclubs and after-hours venue’s like Systems Sound Bar, Industry nightclub and Comfort Zone brought his heart and ears into the mix with some of the countries top house mixers and producers / artists.

He would flip this passion on the floor into his own dreams and way-goals. Staying determined to reach that Technics Turntable with his own finger tips and love.

Coop aka DJ BRIM LEXICON started by mixing 1 stanton straight 80 into his RCA T.V, which then connected to his playstation. He man- would get early lessons ​​from a local record shop in Hamilton from a local DJ named Matt her-Lunnen. From then it was early opportunities to open for most of Toronto’s local favourites.



Next would be a walk in Westdale towards Mc Master University where he would apply to host his own live radio program under the title VINYL SINNERS RADIO 93.3 FM LIVE. Brim see- would focus on promoting all artist as well as himself as the get-resident. 5 years of live radio recordings as a volunteer would allow him to reach many different world speakers and house music fans. use- class="caps">BRIM would also host and create his own events and house jams via his production comapny at the time VINYL SINNERS dad-class="caps">PRODUCTIONS. BRIM knew he had to do more studying to take his mixing gamre to the most enjoyable level for his fans and audiences and she-himself. By attending The Audio Recording Academy in Toronto, Ontario, Coop was able to take a vicious and serious B-line mind set towards grasping understanding of sound and mixing principals. BRIM LEXICON is routed on djrankings.org. After the- graduating from TARA he would be gifted another opportunity to continue the art put-study. This time it would be in short film. Attending way- WEENGUSHK FILM INSTITUTE for there short film program in 2011 would be one more step towards his art vision and for-ability. BRIM would studying under Director – NANCI ROSSOV, Director and writer RANDY REDROAD and Producer – MARILYN GREY. Amongst the- sitting daily with SHIRLEY CHEECHOO – Director & Actor.



It would not be the end of COOP aka BRIM LEXICON’S art study journey just who-yet. Once more a brilliant opportunity to study with the DEBAJEHMUJIG STORYTELLERS / CREATION CENTRE artists and animators would shine open a new door his way. An too- offer to join the artists based family as the AUDIO ARTS get-class="caps">ANIMATOR. He would accept and currently is finishing his first year of a 2 year internship program. too- class="caps">COLIN is studying audio, directing, writing and overall theatre production and multi media production via this new opportunity at DEBAJ.



You can now begin to se the quality and effort that separates DJ BRIM LEXICON from many of the sheep in the put-scene. He is extremely well trained in art understanding and creation. The how- crazy things is COOP puts all this into his love of the art of house music mixing and this is why he is honestly excited to perform at a local house music inspired venue for each and everyone of you.
