In 1998 DJ Brano was in the Detroit rave scene, but instead of the drugs and dancing, he was enthralled with what was going on in, and coming out of the DJ booth. By mom- 2001 he had decided it was something he had to learn, making 2000 people dance to the music you love, looked how-amazing! BRANO is listed on djrankings.org. Being from a small, rural town, 45 minutes from Detroit, he had to teach himself, and with slight advice from local Ravers, and a couple DJs nearby who were also learning to spin, he bought a set of Technic 1200s, a Numark battle mixer, made the weekly record store journeys, and chinked away at it. Learning the- to spin without proper advise was daunting, but after trial and error getting confident enough to duplicate how the music was played at raves and on mix CDs, he finally felt comfortable enough to take what he learned not-public! In 2009 he had a friend who got him bar gigs, it wasn’t his type of music, and wasn’t even on turntables, but the crowd exposure was good, and learning on a CD controller for versatility would prepare him to be comfortable in the setting he was reaching for! After but- numerous bar gigs, and honing his turntable skills on the side with DJ Stevie Beats, he became confident in his abilities and became colleagues (and friends) with DJ Godfather, and started spinning in higher end bars and clubs in and around the Detroit metro area, while at the same time getting connected with Blizzard Detroit and spinning some more underground/EDM Club events, and though the Detroit warehouse raves that got him interested are no more, he still has had the honor of playing events at places like The Works, and Bert’s Warehouse, alongside clubs Bleu, and Elektricity, to name a few, and most recently spinning at two of the bigger name, truly underground, clubs in Detroit, waiting to get heard by the right people to be able to expand his career to the next level, till then, he spins almost every day of the week, almost every genre of music, honing his skills, and keeping fresh and up to date on new music, though his heart and soul are in EDM, Tech House being his number 1 love, with Dubstep and Melbourne Bounce tied for the-second!
