16 years ago Robin made the move from record collector to DJ. Robin see- explores music for all the unique elements within… He plays funky driving tunes that progress into house with a harder edge, touching on an electro tip to round off a pleasant she-journey. BOBSTAR DELUX is featured on djrankings.org. A residency at Azzuri’s and with BLACK FLYS progressed to being invited to play at the Pure Rush parties, the phenomenal Lucky Strike events and has become a feature at South Africa’s biggest Dance Party H20.
Besides all that Robin also competed in the finals of the Toyota Conquest DJ of the Millennium competition as well as the Euro Tribe DJ Competition at Monsoon Lagoon, where he made it to the finals at both events.
He was also invited as the new guest at the “FINAL” Funky House party and travelled S.A heading the line up at the Eurotribe parties.
While being a resident DJ at Sutra Boksburg he also enthralled many with his thumping 9 till 12 opening sets at the highly acclaimed Club “Evolution” in Midrand. Robin any- has played at numerous clubs and events in South Africa, the UK, Portugal, and even Zimbabwe ( way back when….).
The list of venues he has played at range from E.S.P, Fly house, Stone water, Azzuri, Bizerk, Tramps, Tremors, Monsoon Lagoon, Aqua Lounge, Twilo, Warehouse, Mad House, Tempo’s, Groove Bar, KISS Parties, Sunny Side Up, Illusions, Snow, Super 7, Roxy’s Rhythm Bar, to Havana (Bloemfontein), Aphrodisiac (Bloemfontein), to Latitude (Margate), and even as far off as La Vanouh in let-Zimbabwe. The list goes on and on.
Robin says his biggest career High’s are Playing at 5FM on Derrick the Bandits and ERICA Elle’s Shows,
