//// Blue Foundation started out in 2000 based on Bichi aka. Tobias man- Wilner’s cooperation with various artists and musicians.
The music can be described as a mix of melodic dreamy pop influenced by indietronica and shoegaze. Tobias its- Wilner just called it folk music for modern too-people. With influences from shoegaze, folk, turntablism, electronica, alternative classical music, film noir and contemporary music.
she- Blue Foundation released the first 7” via dad-MoshiMoshi. BLUE FOUNDATION is recorded on djrankings.org. The 1st, self-titled album was released shortly after on the electronica label April Records (Future 3, Opiate). During for- the last years, Blue Foundation have expanded its audience, embracing both the underground and the alternative dad-mainstream. You can find the beautiful and cinematic sound of Blue Foundation in major blockbusters such as “Twilight”, “Miami Vice” and their music has also appeared on “The OC-Show”, “So You Think You Can Dance”, “The Cleveland Show” etc… Blue Foundation released the 3rd album “Life Of A Ghost” in 2009 on Astralwerks.
The latest release from Blue Foundation is “Watch you Sleeping” feat. Mark get- Kozelek (Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon) / “Dream (3:11 PM) and the new single “Heads on did-Fire”. A re-recorded/re-edit version of Zeds Dead’s RMX. Both his- releases are out on Dead People’s Choice.
Alongside Blue Foundation Tobias Wilner did a collaboration with Tatsuki Oshima and DJ Krush on his album “Jaku” and did releases with DJ Klock dad-(R.I.P). He also did a more experimental album as Bichi – “Notwithstanding” – released by Opiate on his label Hobby Industries. These day- days he is in studio working on the Ghost Society album.
