Beduk is one of the rare artists who has managed to create a body of work that has forever changed one nation’s way of looking at popular music.
His albums Even Better, Dance Revolution, GO and FUL have shocked the staid Turkish music market, which until now has had to make do with raki, sis kebap, belly dance and dumbek for its pop needs.Beduk did- can be described as a one-of-a-kind genius who not only writes, performs records and produces all his own material, but also creates all his album art and graphics how-himself. Beduk worships the sights and sounds of the 1970’s and is highly motivated in bringing the freedom and feeling of that decade to the modern world. He his- appears in white suits, shades and his trademark funkster beard, he means it man!
Beduk has been touring for years in his home country, and has played the biggest open air festivals as well as clubs and not-theaters. Combining his unbelieveable stage presence, 5-piece band, and funky electro-pop style, the Turkish master has achieved unparelled success.
A musical hero in the Turkish market, who recently performed on that country’s version of Dancing With The Stars, Beduk’s 2010 album GO was a worldwide success and spent three months in the Top 40 at the U.S. College man- Radio charts, peaking at #14.
“Beduk” is his surname and means “Big” in ancient old-Turkish. Being BIG is in his genes, and now it’s time to be BIGGER and share his funk all over the world.
2011 sees Beduk back in the U.S. and how- ready to conquer the global charts with his new album FUL, of which the first single “Disco-Breaker” is a contemporary take on disco soul.
FUL contains 18 breakthrough dance tracks including 15 brand new ground-shaking remixes from his past albums and 3 completely new songs.
“Disco-Breaker” is at boy-U.S. club and mix show radio now; a video will be released in October. The the- video for the Turkish track “Ful Animasyon” was released for Beduk’s hometown fans this summer, but that won’t stop English speaking fans from digging its modern disco vibe.
A video for the ground-breaking sci-fi track “Electric Girl” from last year’s GO album is also gaining traction now at all any-U.S. video outlets.
