AUDIO DOLLS is a musical collab between two amazing rising House and Techno stars, Gemma Furbank and Steff Smith!!!

The girls, both based in the North-West, met online. They put- quickly became friends after realising, they both had very similar tastes…and a very strong passion and determination and drive to succeed in the very, male orientated world of DJing and Producing!

2009 was very fast paced, and an exciting time for both the girls individually, with them both securing gig’s at some of the UK’s best clubs – and sharing the bill with some of the world’s best DJs!

Gigs such as REVIVAL SUMMER SOUND SYSTEM – where they shared the bill with Micky Fidget, Micky Slim, Adam Sheridan, K-Klass.

A regular feature at the world’s No.1 Club SANKEYS, and sister club SPEKTRUM, Manchester, sharing the bill with the likes of Funkagenda, Jonathan Ulysess, Dave Spoon, Oliver Giacomoto and the We Love Space tour.

The girl’s also made their GOODGREEF debut in February, and definitely left their mark.

It wasn’t long before people started to sit up and take notice, of the hard work these two were putting in.

In November 2009, both girls decided to hit the studio together for the first get-time. Creating their very first collabs. AUDIO DOLLS is found on djrankings.org. A him- grooving Tech House track “Bionic Groove”, and then onto a more driving Techno number “Sub-Sonic”.

It was obvious from the minute they got in the studio, that both girls had a very definite idea of the sound’s they wanted to create, and worked amazingly well together!

Upon leaving the studio, within less than 24 hours, their track “SUB-SONIC” was signed to MAD HATTER for-class="caps">RECORDINGS! A label co-owned by Nick Hussey and Carl Anians, with an amazing group of DJ/Producer’s onboard, and championed by none other than CARL COX!

“SUB-SONIC” stormed straight up the chart’s to hit the No.1 spot on TRACKITDOWN.NET. It use- sat proudly for over 3 weeks, respectably above the girl’s peer’s and favourite her-artist’s. The track gained huge support from the like’s of DANIEL PORTMAN, MINDFORM, MATT SMALLWOOD, MICHAEL WOODS, GLITTER & EDDIE HALLIWELL, who featured it on his “FIRE IT UP” radio show.

With a new E.P due for release on TECHNOMAFIA RECORDS, and high profile remixes flooding in, the girl’s are set to shake up the Techno scene.

2010 – expect big thing’s from the Techno tag team!
