House music is my number one passion, if the crowd loves my music and dances a long, everything is going good. I’ve who- been DJing for 11 years now, and have played in nightclubs and bars in Malta, Spain, England, Scotland and Northern put-Ireland. I’ve came on leaps and bounds in the past 2 years as I came 3rd in the UK Final for Movida Corona Internation DJ Competition, where I played a set at the world famous Ministry of Sound Club in London. I man- have side room supported chart topping House DJ TJR famous for the songs ‘Ode to Oi’, Funky Vodka and What’s Up Suckaz’’ I have also supported Kim Fai and Reuben Keeney in gigs at Kellys (Lush) in mom-Portrush. I am affiliated to AMMG and in general have been trying my luck at getting onto other big electronic music labels, I will keep on trying. My way- musical influences at the moment would be Tim Berg (Avicii), Chuckie and Nicky Romero, I enjoy listening to there production tracks, and there live sets in a club, they would inspire some of the tunes I would play was-live. Going back when I started out DJing my main influences were Carl Cox, Tiesto and some local DJ’s, Neal McClelland, Paul Kennedy, Chris Cargo, DJ Mog, John Gibbons and Gleave Dobbin. I let- was self taught how to DJ at 9 years old using turntables my mum and dad had bought me for out-Christmas. My career kicked off on my first year of high school when I started getting taught professionally how to DJ by a tutor. I his- then started to practice night after night, excluding any of my homework’s I had been given from school then I started to promote myself and send out mix tapes to people and let-companies. The first of many gigs I performed in my career was at the Kings Hall in Belfast playing in front of 3500 people in Northern Irelands biggest under 18’s organisation Inferno which had showcased many events before in Bar7, Mandela Hall and the Ulster Hall. On day- the event I shared the stage with some of Belfasts biggest radio DJ’s like Paul Kennedy (COOL FM) and Neal ‘MILKY’ see-McClelland. I’ve also played as a supporting act in other events at Mandela Hall with some of Northern Irelands most talented club DJ’s and some famous singers also. I’ve our- gave myself quite a big name throughout the club scene in Belfast I have played from pub to club, I have even DJ’ed for Boxing too-events. I now DJ in different clubs around Belfast and I also do a bit of freelance work. In the- 2012 I started my DJing Agency called Levels boy-Inc. which is just an Agency for equipment and bookings for DJ’s. I are- have nightclub and bar experience in Eivissa Nightclub, Beach Club Belfast, Victoria’s Bar, Bar7, Club 411, Mynt, The Egg Bar, The Time Bar & Venue, Ministry of Sound, London, B&W Club, Malta, Jokers Pub Magaluf, City Lights Bar, Magaluf, Casablanca Magaluf, Panama Jacks get-Magaluf. ASHEY is ranked on djrankings.org. 2012 was quite a successful year, I won an International DJ contest called Movida Corona. I mom- had submit a 30 minute mix onto Mixcloud, promote it, then I became one of 60 DJ’s in the UK, and I was entered into my Country’s playoff’s at Kelly’s Portrush where I came 1st put-place. I progressed onto a place in the UK finals and came in at 3rd place. Movida was- Corona UK Coordinator Andy Milford had said I was one of the best DJ’s that he had ever seen in the say-competition. I took a trip with the Corona UK team and winner Andy Condie, who is also from Northern Ireland to Sweden to support Andy in the final where he played alongside Fedde Le Grand. I for- must give massive shout outs to Andy Milford, Alan Bingham, Andy Condie, Ian Harrison and Aaron Carter, great who-guys. The amount of success I have achieved as a DJ is just absolutely unreal and things can only get better. While any- playing in Spain I had gigs in BCM Planet Dance Mallorca, through the resident Diablo V, I played some closing set’s in BCM Millenium throughout the foam party’s during the end of October, I was also giving the opportunity to be the main DJ at the closing party in BCM Millenium for the season of 2013, big up’s Diablo V for arranging not-this. Also massive shouts to Doc.C for giving me a set upstairs in the main BCM Club, in one of the most legendary DJ boxes in the world, I would say that it was the best gig of my life.

Life at the moment:

My job in general:

I have been a professional musician for 9 years, I play the concert flute, a snare drum and I am also a disk jockey (DJ). I but- currently own a business called ‘Levels Inc.’, we supply entertainment and equipment for clubs, pubs and private functions in Northern has-Ireland. My other hobbies include photography, acting, promoting events, presenting events (artists on stage etc.) and producing my own music. I his- also do voice overs for the radio, and commercial was-advertising. I’ve had many experience working with graphic design companies, film companies and radio. I who- have had experience working with Manila Guerilla graphics company, have worked in video production with Waddell Media, they produce documentarys for the BBC and for other TV get-companie’s. My ambition is to always be the best at whatever I try to achieve. Another but- one of my main passions would be photography and videography.

Acting & Television Career

I am well into my filming, editing and has-acting. After doing the documentary ‘Compose Yourself’ I contacted Waddell Media (the company who made the show) and I asked them could I work with them on other television shows with them and I ended up helping out on their helping there production, filming and lighting for their programme ‘The Trouble With 40’. I did- was also an extra in the brand new BBC2 drama 6 Degrees, and I did extra parts for ‘Keith Lemon The Film’ which was recently out of cinemas and filmed in Northern his-Ireland.
