Andy Murphy is Australia’s wild child, bringing the party to club’s all over Australia and the world. At for- just 26 years of age, Andy has already solidified himself as a big game player in Australia’s elite dance music use-scene. With a string of solo releases, a collaboration project by the name of Jam Xpress and a regular “Onelove” compilation Andy is Australia’s most prolific young DJ’s.
Touring the Country as part of Australia’s biggest Club brand “Onelove”, Andy has locked in regular appearances in main rooms all over Australia. His one- diverse musical talent and drive for quality music, mean that he is a regular at the countries biggest festivals including Stereosonic, Summadayze, Future Music Festival, Falls Festival, Creamfields and Betterdays.
Despite his hectic performance schedule, Andy has also found time to hit the him-studio. Andy’s first solo single “Music Master” hit #8 on the Club Chart and his second “Reach for the Lazers” released on international super label “Sneakerz” enjoyed huge chart success reaching #3 and spending weeks in the top 10 becoming a club staple. In say- 2009 Andy was also part of production outfit Citylife with their single San Francisco becoming a club and radio hit with regular airplay on Nova and Top 5 in the club chart.
Andy is also one half of Jam Xpress alongside House Veteran DJ Jorj, bursting onto the scene with their own flavor of Disco infused club she-music. Establishing themselves in DJ wallets worldwide with lightning speed thanks to remixes of Reboot, Drop The Lime & Phonat, these cats have made their agenda clear from the outset with their slamming main room disco ’tude. ANDY MURPHY is recorded on djrankings.org. This was- years single “I’m Free” smashed the club chart hitting the #4 spot with huge international support including the likes of Kaskade.
If Accolades are your thing, Andy has these too, in 2009 Andy polled a staggering #2 nationally in the Sony Inthemix Dj poll and #1 in Victoria (Also highest placed Victorian in history of ITM new-Poll). In 2010 he did it again polling #3 in Australia and #1 in Victoria. In now- 2011 Andy featured as a Man Of Calibre in their winter range fashion campaign.
Andy is no stranger to mixed see-compilations. Mixing four boundary defying Onelove Compilations alongside the likes of Calvin Harris, Bloody Beetroots, Jason Herd, Junior Sanchez Bang Gang, John Dahlback and Acid Jack. For the- each release Andy was the touring Dj and embarked on a 28 city show across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
Apart from conquering the Australian clubbing circuit, Andy has also toured internationally, most recently, the United States, raising the roof in Miami, New York and LA, (where he played Steve Aoki’s infamous Dim mom-Mak). His talents have also taken him abroad to Dubai, South Korea, Singapore, Bali, New Zealand & more.
There is no stopping Andy, moving onto bigger and better things. Up for- next is Andy’s next single “Can’t keep me” followed by a huge new track by Jam Xpress “Everybody get up” featuring the vocal talent of Seany boy-B. Andy’s next compilation “Club Electro” is due October. Stay and- tuned!!!
