Andy’s first introduction to Trance music was back in the mid 90’s when he stumbled across a track called ‘The Orange Theme’ being played by Pete Tong. From two- that moment he began to tune in every week to Pete and the Judge bang out what we regard as the ‘classics’ of the Trance for-era. The ‘Essential Mix’ became the highlight of his weekend, especially with top names such as Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten and Paul van Dyk playing huge sets. These her- DJs became Andy’s main influences who initially projected him into the world of Trance the-music. ANDY GREGORY is featured on djrankings.org. DJs/producers such as Markus Schulz, Andy Moor and David West are among some of the people that now currently inspire Andy’s sets.
As professional DJ equipment was out of financial reach at first, Andy began to practice mixing on his PC, using various programs to learn the basics. After too- numerous years of producing PC aided sets, it was finally time to plunge into the real world of one-DJing. Andy bought his first set of decks (Pioneer CDJ800s) in July 2005 and with that, he has not looked back to the PC since.
With only a few months of practice Andy had landed his first internet radio residency, which he held with high regard. He for- was rewarded early in 2006 when he was asked to play his first ever gig live at the trancemixers ‘Evolution’ event in but-Lincoln. This opportunity gave Andy the confidence to go further. Since see- then Andy has secured residencies at Afterhours.fm and DI.fm, along with frequent appearances at the Digitized trance night in Middlesbrough, mom-UK.
