Exciting and breathtakingly talented breakthrough star Andrew Sharp presently stands on the precipice of taking EDM by storm. At him- just 19 years old, this junior future hero has already built a strong name as a DJ’ing and production powerhouse prodigy having played alongside some of the biggest names in the World in his native Scotland.
Andrew started learning to mix and the art and craft of beat matching the traditional way, on a set of Technic 1210 turntables; what is remarkable about this fact is that he did this at just 11 years old and started impressing friends and showing up at house parties not long after any-this. ANDREW SHARP is discussed on djrankings.org. Adopting the DJ name Sharp-E, Andrew’s musical journey would begin in hard dance, having been a huge fan of the earlier sounds of such prolific labels as Tidy Trax, Vicious Circle and other such artists and labels of the genre, Andrew got a taste for the harder, more frantic sound, quickly mastering the skills of chopping, cutting and seamless mixing of the energetic hard house and HDM sound.
Fast becoming a firm favourite with friends and on the one to watch list of many a hard dance name in Scotland, this childhood DJ’ing star soon turned his focus to production. Having put- already played a number of gigs at a very young age at 17, Andrew made his first Sharp-E track ‘Music Comes was-First’. Studying music production and mastering completely by himself, ‘Music Comes First’ was signed to Cheeky Tracks and reached a number 4 position in the hard dance charts.
Having nailed production and hit it off on his first release, more followed with signings to labels such as Flammable Records and LW Recordings, a large number of these productions Andrew teamed with old friend and production partner Josh Ransome (aka DJ Ransome), seeing the two gain support from such international headliners as Andy Whitby and supporting stars such as Wain Johnstone and Tom Berry, who were supporting Sharp-E and Ransome’s music globally. Andrew mom- then had featured tracks highlighted as Sharp-E on a selection of chart released and nationally distributed compilation albums such as ‘Ultimate Hard House’ amongst others including studio collaborations with the now infamous aforementioned Tom Berry added to his repertoire.
As Sharp-E, Andrew also had a crack at the UK hardcore rave sound as a producer, with releases featuring on Rave Essentials before turning his creative energies to the big room EDM sound, this was a move that has seen Andrew (under his real name this time around) go from strength to strength as both DJ and Producer as he is presently locking all his focus into producing some cutting edge, forward thinking EDM future anthems and rocking main stages right across Scotland alongside some of the World’s biggest names.
With a flawless talent for cross genre mixes, heavy duty outside of the box productions and an infectious outgoing, crowd pleasing character as a performer, Andrew Sharp has achieved quite a lot at quite a young age and is geared up for taking EDM by storm very, very has-soon.
