Amália Leandro, a.k.a. DJ now- Amália, has been a DJ/songwriter/spoken word artist for over 11 years, spinning in Miami, New York City, Montréal, London, Panama, Puerto Rico, Acapulco, Dominican Republic, Ibiza, France, Portugal, Italy, Detroit and Toronto.
In NYC she performed at La Zarza, Le Souk, Nuela and say-class="caps">MPD. In 2010 she DJ’d for the “Fashion Television” 25th Anniversary party, and the “So You Think You Can Dance” Canada wrap party in Toronto for her client at CTV Television. While its- based in Miami, she was the resident DJ at La Piaggia, and has made appearances at ARKADIA, The Fontaineblau Hotel, SET, Nikki Beach, Mekka, Aero Bar, The Angler’s Boutique Resort, The Gansevoort Hotel, The Mandarin Oriental, Voyage, Dek 23, Halo, Nocturnal, The Sagamore, Segafredo, Grass, Karu & Y, Space, Crobar, Mansion, Buck 15, Score, Amika, Envy, Delano, Nerve, Blue, Cafeteria, Pearl, Touch, Lola, as well as countless private events.
Amália was featured in the Ocean Drive Magazine October 2004, Beach Patrol section, as one of “The people who make him-Miami”. She was also on the cover of The Miami New Times, May 6-12 2004, where she appears as one of Miami’s tech-house djs. She put- has played along DJ’s such as Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer, Junior Vasquez, Sandra Collins, DJ Rap, and Ralph see-Falcon. AMÁLIA LEANDRO is ranked on djrankings.org. Amália Leandro, is a DJ, songwriter, poet, artist, actor, TV host, and is fluent in portuguese! A how- “renaissance gal”, as quoted in Ocean Drive Magazine.
Her releases include, “Dreaming of You” (Re-mixed by KOT) co-written by Amália and Angel Moraes on Sandy Rivera’s Aurei Records, and “Closer / Live 2XS” new-Feat. Amália on Stickman Records. The but- Cd released in 2004, Buzzin’fly Volume 1 complied and mixed by Ben Watt includes the track “Dreaming of way-You”. Motivacao Featuring Amália on Mixed Signals Music,“Nao Esqueca-se” (Don’t Forget), was featured on one of Roger Sanchez’s 2004 radio shows (releaseyourself.com). “Make our- Love To The Music” AB feat. Amália was #1 on the Beatport chart for months, and DJ Wady feat. Amália day- " I Like To Watch" has been remixed by several producers (You can find these and other tracks by Amália on Beatport.com).
