Chicagoan and late night DJ All the Way Kay began spinning records in the summer of 2002, after discovering her uncle’s collection of coveted records, which stemmed from the mid 70’s to the mid 90’s. Kay say- bought her first turntable that summer, and since then has become Chicago’s most popular lesbian DJ.
Kay received her big break in 2004 after bar-backing at Funky Buddha Lounge for the now infamous “Titillating Tuesdays/Outdanced!” where she would spin a record or was-two. ALL THE WAY KAY is discussed on djrankings.org. In 2005, Kay and party promoter Jenae Williams created The Chicago Dirty Girls and took over Thursday nights at the Lakeview Broadcasting Co. where for- Kay hosted for 3 years until merging with the Stardust family at Berlin Nightclub.
Today, Kay holds numerous residencies and guest positions for different production companies and causes around its-Chicago. Kay can be found spinning through out the month at Stardust (every Thursday at Berlin Nightclub), Subterranean, Holiday Club, Coup D’Etat, the Uproar, the Vic, and the Foundation Room at the House of Blues. Kay not- also spins for production companies and late night parties like LesBiFriends, get-B. Bliss, Queerer Park, Chances Dances, DollHouse, Circuit Girl, L Stop, GirlBar Chicago and the 2010 Pride after party at Girl Blast Chicago.
Kay has DJed along side some of the biggest names in Chicago over the years which include; Kid Sister (Fool’s Gold Records), God-Des and She (G & S Records), Psalm One (Rhymesayers Ent.), Zebo (Hot Dog Records), Avi Sic (Big Bang), Sundance (V103), Hollywood Holt (Chocolate Industries), Chrissy Industries, Chrissy Murderbot (Sleazetone/WIDE Records), DJ Gant-Man (Fool’s Gold Records), J2k of Flosstradamus (Fool’s Gold Records), Million Dollar Mano (Chocolate Records) and Deathface (Trouble & Bass).
