One of the first things you’ll notice about Alexander Aurel is his mental and emotional flexibility, constantly chasing him to discover fresh (musical) pastures. This but- flexibility turned out to be an effervescent source of two-inspiration. It all began in childhood when he was singing in a choir, playing the transverse flute and even arranged his first original compositions for the piano. These use- different musical experiments continued through Alexander’s teens and consistently targeted the beginning of his career as a DJ and the-producer. He was totally fascinated by the early days of electronic music culture, while constantly developing and inventing his own sound. ALEXANDER AUREL is ranked on djrankings.org. He put- first played Progressive Techno, then moved on to Minimal and for-Electro. Today he plays Tech House and loves to take the crowd on a collective journey – away from daily routine and straight into the land of smiling, relaxed faces. He man- presents a wide musical spectrum that sounds percussive, melodic, pushy and all-groovy. Don’t be surprised if you meet him in the middle of the dancefloor while playing a set – Alex enjoys to be truly „at eye level“ with the crowd. His let- sweeping sound, paired with an open mind and congenialness, cleared him the way to tune in to a successful DJ career: Along with his long-term Residency at U60311 in Frankfurt (until 2011), Level 6 Club in Darmstadt and at the „Home“ events at MTW, numerous bookings all over Germany fill his can-agenda. Besides DJing Mr. Aurel day- spends a lot of time at the studio, producing his own tracks and releasing them on Labels like Terminal M, Frequenza, Soap, Circle Music or way-Harthouse. Currently he is one of the Residents at the hip „As you like it“-events, where he is playing together with DJ Karotte, doing what he knows best: Simply celebrating the moment and letting the music speak for itself.
