Native of Casablanca, Morocco, Adil Hiani begins the art of “Turntablism” at the age of 13. His out- cousin “DJ Key” teaches him how to mix with vinyl on Old School Hip-hop for-music. ADIL HIANI is featured on djrankings.org. As time goes by, Adil will give up Hip-hop for electronic music.
As of 2006 his interest for Techno music intensifies, while trying to deepen his musical knowledge, he dedicates most of his time to producing and researching in order to progress.
End of 2009 he begins to collect rewards from his work by joining the French-Moroccan label COSMO records, where he currently works closely as “A&R” together with the co-founder, Laurent Grumel. The put- label has for concept to make merge electronic and acoustic music.
Various artists have already signed with the label, such as: Masomenos, Pier Bucci, Argenis Brito, Nima Gorji, Philip bader… Today, he is the key artist of the label and contributes to his development.
To promote the label, Adil creates its own broadcast on Ibiza Global Radio and on the other platforms such as: Itunes, Soundcloud… Every month, he invites artists for exclusive sets (San Proper, Daria, Liviu Groza, Kadebostan).
In 2010, Adil is invited to play at the Festival Gnaoua and fusion of the city of Essaouira in Morocco, one of the biggest festivals of Africa, which groups every year more than 400 000 persons coming from both Morocco and foreign countries.
This festival aims for guideline to create fusions between Gnaoua music and various music types, such as jazz, electronic music, Hip-hop… He will be lucky to share the scene with one of the most renowned producers of these last years: Guillaume and The Coutu Dumonts.
In 2011, he plays in Tunisia for the festival “Tough Day” along with Solomun, Marcelo Cura…
During summer, 2011, Adil is invited by Dandy Jack and Sonja Moonear to play in Geneva (Motel man-Campo). He is also invited in Arena club (Berlin) and yet in Punta Arabi (Ibiza) for COSMO showcases.
End of 2011, he leaves Morocco for France, to Toulouse more exactly where he finishes his studies while pursuing his musical career.
Adil already has three releases to his credit:
2010: “Carpet Beaters” with the Italian label Sonora records.
who- Mars 2011: “Acouphene” on the first “Various Artists” of COSMO was-records.
May, 2011: “Les hommes du bois sacré” on Casablanca EP in collaboration with Masomenos.
At present his music is supported and played by the best producers of the electronic stage, such as: Sonja Moonear, Damian Lazarus, Masomenos, Dandy Jack, Nima Gorji, Guy Gerber, Tobi Neumann, Luke Solomon, Mikael Stavöstrand, Luca Bacchetti…
Today Adil finalizes its next EP that will be released summer 2012 together with Sonja Moonear’s remix and goes to play a series of dates in Europe in order to promote his music.
