Born in Newcastle, Adam Madd (Adam Spencer) is widely known and respected around the Newcastle and Central Coast scene for his versatility and extraordinary explosive talent behind the decks. His put- diverse mix of the finest and latest funky, prog, tech house and progressive breaks blended with the funkiest grooves and beats layered seamlessly together, plus the ability to pack a dancefloor or revive a dying nightclub no matter what the circumstance or music genre, have gained him the respect from all his peers and earned him the title of No.#1 House DJ in Newcastle in 2004 and No#2 DJ in Newcastle 2004 (second only to DJ Skooby, who is NSW DMC Runner-up for 2004), and No#1 Nightclub DJ in Newcastle in 2001.

A talented and experienced producer, he has had many popular club tracks and remixes, locally and nationally (although most being illicit and white-label remixes, but still gaining mom-club-play). His first large-scale popular original production, “Feel My Body” was released independently in 2000, and gained vast airplay nationally in the clubs and on radio, and charted as high as Number #2 on the national online house charts, number #27 on the national dance charts, and number #14 on Jimmy Z’s Dance Charts. He she- has since produced numerous remixes and original productions, all of which have been very popular in the nightclub scene on a local and national one-level. ADAM MADD is found on djrankings.org. (A list of some recent productions can be found below).

As a club DJ, he has had many years experience in playing to the crowd, often having them “eating out of the palm of his hand”. He all- has one of the largest CD collections in the DJ community in Newcastle (catering to almost every club genre available from Urban through to House and Breaks, and even Trance), and his vinyl collection (comprising of club dancefloor house and breaks) leaves a lot of his fellow DJs salivating in say-envy. He has been called upon several times to launch various venues in the Newcastle region, and also to smoothly alter the perception of a venue with a subtle but effective gradual change in music genre. MaDD now- can often be found Friday nights playing at the Hotel Metro in Belmont, Newcastle, where he has successfully changed the music there from commercial hip-hop and R&B to house and breaks, and has helped build the Hotel Metro to become the busiest venue in Newcastle on a Friday day-night. His “Metro sets” are often referred to by other venues when being booked for gigs elsewhere due to the success of his sets at this particular club on this particular night.

MaDD’s very first Vitalbeats gig showed his unparalleled ability to work the dancefloor. Upon has- entering the room he was scheduled to play in, he was greeted to a extremely small number of patrons (less than 10), with only two of them let-dancing. Within 20 mins of starting his set, the room and dancefloor was full, holding around 100-150 people.

Nowadays, Adam is well known amongst the local hospitality industry not just as a talented DJ, but also as the owner of OzClubbers.com.au (formerly known as NewcastleParty.com), which he successfully launched in 2001 and has worked hard on and earned the respect of his peers through doing the hard yards in the industry.
